The Olivet Praise Team has been in existence for about 10 years. Through the years, many members have contributed their talents, and the common thread they all shared was their love for the Lord and their willingness to express their faith through music. We have been blessed to have many dedicated and talented musicians and singers share the stage, but we are not here to perform. Our mission is to lead the congregation in worship, to uplift their spirits, and to prepare them to receive God’s word. We all love to serve the Lord and are truly blessed to be able to serve Him by doing something that we love to do. We enjoy the occasions when we are invited to lead worship at other churches. We occasionally have a “Coffee House” at Olivet where there is an opportunity to sing praise and to fellowship together in a less formal atmosphere. And for the past several years we have played at Shine Your Light Christian Music Festival at Buckroe Beach hosted by Keep The Promise Music Ministries. We are also blessed to have a talented Teen Praise Team that is always willing to serve whenever the need arises, whether it is leading the worship service or filling in wherever needed.

            We are always looking for musicians and singers to participate in this special and important ministry. Our practices are held on Friday nights from 7 p.m. until we get it right! We practice Sunday before the 10:45 service and then lead that service. If your talents are not all that musical, we always have a need for people to help with the sound system and the PowerPoint presentations. Training is available.
