What We Believe

We Believe (A brief summary):

• Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, died for our sins and arose from the dead. (1 Corinthians 15:1-8; John 3:16)
• The Bible is the inspired Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21, 22)
• Every person has inherent value as a creation of God, but all people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:21-34; Isaiah 53:6)
• Salvation can not be earned, but is only available by God’s grace. (Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 6:23)
• Forgiveness of sins and salvation are available to those who believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. (John 3:16; John 14:6)
• God forgives and saves us by His grace when we are united with Jesus Christ in baptism (by immersion). (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-7)
• In order to remain spiritually alive and growing, we must continue in our faith (1 Corinthians 15:2; Colossians 1:21-23)
• The church is the body of Christ on earth. (1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 4:1-16)
• Jesus Christ will one day return! (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 & John 14:1-3)
